Jessica Raila, RN, E4 – Medical/Neuro ICU
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Jessica Raila, RN, for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of November!
Jessica Raila, RN, works on E4 – Medical/Neuro ICU and was nominated by a family member of a patient. The nomination below reflects how Jessica impacted their life in a very special way.
Nomination: My mom was admitted to ICU on Monday after negligence at her former nursing home. I came up to stay with her to relieve my sister, on Wednesday night. Bright and early this morning (9-21-23) I was awakened by an Angel in human form. Her name was Jessica!! When I tell you this lady was a Godsend she definitely is. She came in and out ALL DAY long checking in on my mom, administering her med, accessing her pain level, checking her IV pump, checking her glucose, taking her temp and the list goes on and on. We never had to look for her and she made sure we were always straight!!! Above and beyond doesn’t even come close to everything that she did for my mother!!! And to top it all off I NEVER saw her take one break nor sit down this entire time and it’s 6:00p.m. It’s nurses like Jessica that restores faith, trust, diligence, care, and respect to the nursing profession!!!
Thank you again UAMS for sharing this excellent nurse and experience with our family.
Great job, Jessica!
