Taylor Owens, RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Taylor Owens, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of May!
Taylor works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and was nominated by a patient’s family member. The nominations below reflects how Taylor impacted their life in a very special way.
“Taylor took care of our twins, Harry & David, from the beginning of our stay in the NICU. She was kind, friendly, and so incredibly sweet with the boys. She answered our questions and made a stressful situation so much more comfortable. We asked Taylor to be our primary. She agreed, but we think she has really become family!! She has cared for the twins as if they were her own, spending her downtime in the room with them, advocating for them, and loving on them. She has gone so far above the role of nurse. Her care was absolutely top notch and her personality only made her that much more incredible!
During our nearly 60 days in the NICU, I watched Taylor precept and teach many other nurses. She was incredibly patient with them and took her time to describe what she was doing and why. I learned so much just from listening to her!
Taylor Owens is the most wonderful nurse I’ve ever met. My family will always be indebted to her. She absolutely deserves the DAISY award.”
Great job, Taylor Owens!
