Cheyenne White, RN – E6 – Perinatal
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Cheyenne White, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of March!
Cheyenne works in the E6 – Perinatal and was nominated by a patient. The nomination below reflects how Cheyenne impacted their life in a very special way.
“I was having my fifth child at UAMS, and Cheyenne was my nurse after delivery. When I first walked into the room I noticed she had all her information on the white board… very professional. With an unusual experience in another department, I didn’t feel comfortable till I came to Cheyenne’s room. When she walked into my room, she was nothing but nice and professional. She made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and informed me of what was what. Like there was nothing this lady didn’t do. She kept my sheets clean, made sure she checked on me every hour, kept my catheter changed, and kept a smile on her face. She talked to me and constantly asked me if I needed anything. I never felt I was getting on her nerves. When I rang her, she came within 5 minutes. I never had to wonder what she was doing or how long it was going to take. She was always there and that is my idea of what a nurse should be like. I would rather have her any day.”
Great job, Cheyenne!
