Megan Fruhling, RN – H8 – Neurology/Neurosurgery
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Megan Fruhling, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of June!
Megan works in the H8 – Neurology/Neurosurgery and was nominated by a patient. The nominations below reflects how Megan impacted their life in a very special way.
“I was recently a patient on H8 and Megan was my RN for two shifts. After a night of little sleep, a technician unintentionally made a remark that led me to assume a very bad diagnosis. I arrived back to the room at shift change and immediately called for Megan. She arrived in seconds, listened to my concerns, offered tissues for my tears and knew exactly what to say to soothe me. She assured me that she would get answers as quickly as possible. Her sincerity and concern gave me immediate comfort. During another brief conversation, she shared with me that she loves UAMS and told me why she chooses to works here. I could tell that she has a good working relationship with other staff members and is respectful of her teammates. I cannot say enough positive things about Megan. I will never forget the compassion she showed to me.”
Great job, Megan Fruhling!
