Tanika Pittman, APRN Coordinator – Cancer Infusion B
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Tanika Pittman, APRN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of December!
Tanika works in the Cancer Institute in Infusion B and was nominated by a patient. The nomination below reflects how Tanika impacted their life in a very special way.
“It’s really not one story about Nurse Pittman but about the last 16 months of care and guidance she has provided for me. When she visits me during my treatments, she is always up-to-date on my condition/history and any changes that have occurred with my treatment. She always gives me her full attention and never leaves until we are finished with what we are discussing. She constantly gives me insight into how my cancer is effecting me and what to do to minimize the effects of my treatment. She is someone I can count on when I do have questions (and I have many) and more importantly, she has become not only my go-to APRN but my friend as well. It’s very comforting to know that she is there on the days of my treatments and that I can confide anything to her. That, to me, means much more than any technical information I could receive. To me, Tanika is more than deserving of this excellent award!”
Great job, Tanika!
