Stacy Pierce, RN – H4 – Trauma/SICU/CVICU
Please join the Center for Nursing Excellence in congratulating Stacy Pierce, RN for being selected as the DAISY Award recipient for the month of April!
Stacy works in the H4 – Trauma/SICU/CVICU and was nominated by a family member of a patient. The nomination below reflects how Stacy impacted their life in a very special way.
“I am an ICU nurse and a daughter which makes me not the easiest family member to work with. My dad was diagnosed with COVID and sent to UAMS and placed on ECMO. We were unable to go with him or visit him for over 2 weeks. The only updates we received were from our nurses who would FaceTime us when possible and occasionally doctors. Stacy took care of my dad on some of his worst days with multiple OR trips and procedures and ALWAYS made time to update my mother and I. She is the definition of a nurse who goes above and beyond! I knew when Stacy was our nurse for the day I could take a breath because he was is great hands and we would know what was going on. The day we were finally able to come to the hospital and see my father, Stacy was our nurse. She is compassionate, loving, giving, and a skilled nurse. Now on the worst day possible she is here to help me say goodbye to my father. If that isn’t the definition of a daisy worthy nurse I have no idea what is.”
Great job, Stacy!
