Our skilled team of Cardiology Professionals is prepared to get to the heart of any cardiovascular problem, from heart disease to heart attack. Since UAMS is a teaching hospital, our doctors have access to the best technology and equipment. Our doctors are all experts in the field. One of our cardiologists is among a handful of doctors in the nation who performs an advanced procedure called balloon valvuloplasty, which is done to repair a scarred mitral heart valve in patients with rheumatic heart disease. UAMS Health Cardiologists and Surgeons have performed hybrid procedures that combine open-heart surgery with stent treatments.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
For your first appointment, please bring photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including slides or test results from other clinics. For future appointments, please provide updated medical and insurance information.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Patients may receive an EKG to review heart rhthym and may receive imaging of heart structure.
