AR ConnectNow

At UAMS Health AR ConnectNow, our mission is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of Arkansans. We do this through the AR ConnectNow Virtual Clinic which offers confidential, convenient virtual mental health treatment for all Arkansans, and the AR ConnectNow Website which provides trusted mental health education, support in finding high-quality mental health care, and practical tools to promote positive mental health.

What is mental health?

Mental health is a person’s emotional, mental, and social wellbeing. Mental health influences how a person thinks, feels, and acts and can change the way a person deals with stress or relates to other people.

Talking about mental health is so important. Open conversations help break down the shame or embarrassment people may feel about their mental health. Call Center and Virtual Clinic

If you are struggling with mental health issues like depression, anxiety and/or stress, contact the UAMS Health AR ConnectNow call center at 501-526-3563 or 800-482-9921. The call center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The UAMS Health AR ConnectNow virtual clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What are mental health concerns?

Mental health concerns are when a person’s emotional, mental, and social wellbeing cause them distress or get in the way of them doing what they want and need to do in their life. Mental health concerns include specific disorders such as major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Mental health concerns are nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of. If you or someone you care about has a mental health concern, you are not alone. In fact, nearly 30% of children and teens in Arkansas have a mental health diagnosis.
