About the Interventional Spine and Pain Clinic
Suffering from back pain, cancer, shingles and other forms of chronic pain does not have to be a way of life. The UAMS Health Interventional Spine and Pain Clinic offers you hope.
Located in the Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital, we believe in using minimally invasive interventions to break the pain cycle, eliminate dependence on opioid medications, and jump-start your rehabilitation process. Our building also has a state-of-the-art physical therapy facility complete with a therapy and exercise pool to help with your pain management.
Our pain specialists provide the highest quality care to patients suffering from acute, severe and chronic pain conditions, including joint pain and pain associated with the cervical and lumbar spine. We work with you to create a comprehensive plan to improve your pain and return you to your life.
Prescription Information
Please call the clinic directly, or you can request prescription refills during your appointment. If you originally filled your prescription at the UAMS Health Outpatient Pharmacy, you can also refill your prescription online using UAMS Health MyChart.
Parking Information
- After turning off of Cottage Drive, use the right lane to drop off patients under the overhang.
- Continue straight to the roundabout for parking.
- Enter through the gate and take a ticket. Take your ticket with you to be validated for free parking.
- Handicapped and mobility-accessible parking is on the right. Additional parking is available on the left.

Appointment Information
Appointments with the Pain Clinic are by referral only. Please contact your primary care doctor or visit one of our primary care doctors to obtain a referral.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
For your first appointment, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including slides or test results from other clinics.
For future appointments, please provide updated medical and insurance information.
Telemedicine Information
In an effort to keep our patients and health care workers safe, we are offering virtual visits and phone visits.
This service is available to both new and existing patients. Patients should call 501-686-8818 to schedule a telemedicine appointment.
