If you are sick or have a minor injury and need to talk to someone right away, you can access UAMS HealthNow for a video visit with a UAMS Health provider 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., seven days a week.

About the Internal Medicine Clinic at the UAMS Medical Center
The primary care doctors at the UAMS Division of General Internal Medicine are exceptionally qualified to meet your medical needs. Our doctors are certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and have been recognized as local, regional and national medical leaders with many honors and awards, including America’s Best Doctors. In addition, our clinic is recognized for excellence as a Level II Patient-Centered Medical Home.
Personalized Care that Sets Us Apart
We are committed to providing personalized care, including preventive care services and the latest treatments for any serious, ongoing medical conditions. Our clinic staff includes nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and social workers. Appointment times are available for routine exams and sudden, unexpected illnesses. Physicians also are available after-hours and on weekends to meet your health care needs. UAMS general internal medicine doctors have access to all of UAMS’ internal medicine sub-specialists.
Our doctors will take the time to coordinate your health care, arranging for tests and procedures and tracking results as we continue your care over time. If necessary, we will refer you to other UAMS medical specialists.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
The Internal Medicine Clinic in Little Rock now offers COVID-19 vaccinations to all eligible residents. For more information regarding vaccine availability, and who can get vaccinated, click here.
Prescription Information
To refill a prescription, please ask your pharmacy to send an eScribe request to our clinic, or you can request a refill during your appointment. If you originally filled your prescription at the UAMSÂ Outpatient Pharmacy, you can also refill your prescription online using MyChart.

Parking Information
Parking is available in Parking 3, a parking deck at the corner of South Cedar Street and West Capitol Avenue. Please remember to bring your parking stub with you to the clinic for validation and free parking.
Valet parking is available in front of the UAMS Health Outpatient Center for a $10 fee. If you leave after 5:30 p.m., call UAMS police at 501-686-7777 for your keys.

Appointment Information
The Internal Medicine Clinic is a primary care clinic. Some insurance providers may require a co-pay for this service, so please check with your insurance provider prior to your appointment.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
For your first appointment, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide, including slides or test results from other clinics.
For future appointments, please provide updated medical and insurance information.
