Neuralgia is a form of nerve pain that may cause discomfort or numbness in your pelvis or genitals. The symptoms may come and go depending on if the pudendal nerve is being pinched or irritated.
Several things may be behind the damage to your pudendal nerve. It may happen if you’ve been injured, given birth or had recent surgery. The nerve may also be irritated by a tumor or blood vessel that is out of place.
