Clinical Resource: Melanoma Treatments and Preventative Measures

One area in which I focus is skin cancers,  particularly melanoma. I see patients both within the Dermatology Oncology Clinic as well as the Surgical Oncology Clinic, so that I can treat patients from both angles but you know patients that we can do procedures in the office on and patients that need to go to surgery if it’s more complex. And for patients with skin cancers, the most important thing you can do even if you already had a skin cancer is to wear sunscreen and keep yourself protected from the sun because any additional sun exposure that you get just adds on to any bit of damage that your skin has already seen, so it’s really important to keep yourself protected.
