A Thyroid Metastatic Whole-Body Scan is a specialized nuclear medicine imaging test used primarily to detect the presence of thyroid cancer cells that have spread (metastasized) to other parts of the body. This scan is commonly performed after a patient has undergone treatment for thyroid cancer, such as surgery or radioactive iodine therapy, to monitor for any remaining cancerous cells or recurrent disease.
