Treatment/Procedure: Botulinum Toxin Injection

Injection of botulinum toxin, a potent neurotoxin, into muscles of the face is a very popular procedure around the world. There are several products available in the United States. The most common used in our clinic are Botox® and Dysport®. Weakening specific muscles can help elevate the brows and lessen dynamic wrinkles, overall improving the youthfulness of the face.

Although this is a common procedure performed at many med spas and by a variety of providers of different training backgrounds, it is important to choose your injector wisely. There are subtle nuances to botulinum toxin injections that can maximize your results. Furthermore, inappropriate or inaccurate injection can lead to complications.
