About Dr. Ghazala
Clinical Biography
Zena Ghazala, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Pulmonology. Dr. Ghazala received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she also completed her fellowship in pediatric pulmonology. Dr. Ghazala currently serves as the director of the primary ciliary dyskinesia center at Arkansas Children’s. Before she started her career in medicine, Dr. Ghazala represented her home country, Iraq, in international chess tournaments.
Clinical Focus
Dr. Ghazala’s clinical interests are in Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, rare lung disease, pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and tracheostomy/ventilator dependent children.
