About Dr. Thanendrarajan
Clinical Biography
Dr. Thanendrarajan is an associate professor of medicine at the Myeloma Center within the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at UAMS and an expert in the field of multiple myeloma, amyloidosis and other types of plasma cell disorders.
Dr. Thanendrarajan is German board-certified in hematology, oncology and internal medicine and U.S. board-certified in internal medicine. He completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University Hospital Bonn, Germany, and his residency in internal medicine at the General Hospital Hagen and University Hospital Bonn, Germany. He earned his medical degree and doctorate in medicine from the Medical College of Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.
He is a fellow of the American College of Medicine and member of several professional organizations including American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, German Society of Hematology and Oncology, German Cancer Society and German Society of Internal Medicine.
He has contributed to various peer-reviewed scientific articles, reviews and abstracts related to multiple myeloma and other plasma cell disorders.

I've only had a very positive experience so far. Everyone is always courteous and very helpful and everybody provides information when asked or immediately gets you to someone they can if they do not have the answers themselves. So so far everything has been very good.

We have been making the trip to UAMS for 9 years now. We have been very pleased with the level of care we have received. The doctors and nurses have all been good listeners and it's very easy to contact the nurses via phone or email. They are quick to respond to emails or voice messages. The support staff goes above and beyond what one would expect. They are always welcoming and quick to ask if you need directions, etc.

The check-in desk wasn't very friendly. I stood there for a couple of minutes before being greeted. I wished I had known that my insurance wasn't going to cover my [TREATMENT]. I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting for over an hour to be told that.

I took time and filled this out and I'd like you to do me a favor, whoever's listening to this, make sure that Dr. T's supervisor gets this, and the supervisor of where I go to get my chemo also. I think this group has saved my life. They're just outstanding. I couldn't ask for anything more where I go get my chemo at, I can't remember the name of it, chemo's got me. And Dr. T himself and Dr. T's staff, they've been great. I just couldn't ask for anything more and I'm very thankful for them, and please let them know how I feel. And I want their supervisors to know and hopefully the administration also, please. Thank you very much and you too. Okay? Bye-bye.
