Dr. Scott Lucchese specializes in headache medicine. His expertise and clinical interests include management of all types of headache and facial pain syndromes including: management of migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, cluster headache, facial and cervical dystonia, post-traumatic headaches, CSF pressure/volume derangements, secondary headaches, NDPH, etc. Dr. Lucchese treats patients in the Fifth Floor Clinic of the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute.

Dr. Scott Lucchese is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at UAMS. He is board certified by the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and The United Counsel for Neurologic Subspecialties in Headache Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Headache Society.
Dr. Lucchese graduated from University of MissouriāColumbia School of Medicine in 2006. He then completed a Preliminary Internal Medicine followed and Neurology Residency Program at the University of MissouriāColumbia School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri.
Upon completion of training he joined the staffs at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Administration Medical Center and University of MissouriāColumbia School of Medicine.

I have some nasal spray that is, I've been trying to get refilled and so far that has not happened. I'm not sure what it's going to take to get it to happen. So that's where I'm at with that.

This was a horrible experience. There were issues with billing and the nurses in the clinic giving me conflicting information about my insurance coverage, causing mass chaos at the time of my appointment. Also, my provider did not ask in advance if I wanted all of the units of Botox that my insurance has approved for me so instead of giving me all of the units (or even offering them to me) he wasted 25% of them before asking me or even walking in the room to give me the injections. I also spent 2.5 hours at the clinic, I was there 5 mins early for my appointment, waited 30 mins for my name to be called, then waited in the room for the provider for over an hour before I spoke to anyone. I will not be visiting this clinic ever again, the experience was AWFUL, and I have already found another neurologist. All I need in a clinic is someone that advocates for their patients and does right by them, both of which were not felt at this clinic with Dr. Lucchese.

Dr. Lucchese and his staff are the absolute best when it comes to caring for their patients! Also, I want to mention [NAME]..I had a concern about my recent brain MRI and she took the time to call me to ease my worries. She is a HUGE ASSET TO UAMS and so is Dr. Lucchese.

I am truly grateful for Dr. Lucchese. He is kind and listens to all of my concerns. He truly seems to want to find the help that I need. It is rare to find a doctor that will take the time and listen and assess.
