Clinical Biography
Dr. Sabina M. Siddiqui’s areas of clinical interest and research reflect her training — critical care with a focus on ECMO and congenital anomalies such as congenital diaphragmatic hernias and trachea-esophageal fistulae; minimally invasive and innovative approaches to surgery; and finally, providing surgical access to children around the world as a global health advocate, innovator and surgeon.

Academic Biography
Sabina M. Siddiqui, M.D., is a native of the south, born in Texas and raised in Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate studies at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., graduating magna cum laude with degrees in biology and communication. She returned home to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis for her medical degree and University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for her general surgery residency. During her training, Dr. Siddiqui’s desire to care for children took her to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, to complete three additional fellowships in medical innovation, pediatric critical care and pediatric surgery.
She serves on national committees for the American Pediatric Surgeons Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Association of Academic Global Surgeons and chairs the education committee for the Global Initiatives for Children’s Surgery.
