Clinical Biography
Russell Mayo, M.D., attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and then went to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for medical school.
He was board certified in Family Medicine in 1986 and in Hospice & Palliative Medicine in 2012. He came to UAMS Family Medical Center – Texarkana in 1992.
He and his wife, Jana, have three children. In his spare time, he enjoys running marathons, spending time with his family and traveling.

I would say what impressed me the most; was his honesty. I have several knots on my arms and legs. Even one at the base of my skull. He outright said he didn't know what they were. But, he was going to consult another professional. Honesty is key for me. I can take the truth, this is my life. I have people who need me. If a professional is dishonest with me, I wont tolerate it.
