About Rebekka L. Amick
Clinical Biography
Rebekka Amick is an adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner, board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and licensed by the state of Arkansas to provide comprehensive health care to adult patient. She joined the Department of Internal Medicine in 2016 and the Department of Endocrinology in 2022.
As an advanced practice registered nurse, she works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers to care for patients with a variety of obesity and diabetes-related diagnoses.
Rebekka has a unique combination of strong, advanced nursing skills and strives to provide the best health care possible. She believes in building long-lasting and trusting relationships with patients and their families. She provides comprehensive evaluation of patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs. He goal is to enhance a positive healing experience and confidence to those in need.

I have recommended her to everyone I meet that is interested in losing weight. Always a good experience. I love Dr. Amick. She always has been on my side to help me in every way! She always builds me up and encouraged me. I'm very sad to hear that she will be leaving UAMS. She has helped me thru my struggles with weight loss. If her new clinic will take my insurance, I will be following her there. In my opinion UAMS should focus more on retaining good employees instead of all the PR ! Patients are important but if we don't have good providers we have no option but to follow them where they go.

Rebecca is AWESOME!! She goes above & beyond to help me to get on track. She helps me get on the right medication to give me the best results for my weight loss. When I'm discouraged, she is very understanding & reassures me by telling me that I'm doing a great job. She has helped me so much & im grateful to have her as my care provider. She's always got great "bedside manner".

Rebekka always thoroughly discusses my health. She gave me tools to help me. She listened to everything I had concerns about. She was able to order hgba1c. She even told the MA that I was a bleeder so dont poke me hard. She told me to contact her with any concerns. I truly believe she cares about my health and well-being
