About Dr. Slotcavage
Clinical Biography
Rachel L. Slotcavage, M.D., is an Endocrine Surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Division of General Surgery at UAMS Medical Center.
Dr. Slotcavage received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Remaining at Penn, she went on to complete a postdoctoral research fellowship in Musculoskeletal Oncology. She then continued her surgical training with an internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Dr. Slotcavage found her passion in Endocrine Surgery, and completed her subspecialty fellowship training in this area at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic, under renowned Endocrine Surgeon Dr. Allan Siperstein. Upon completion of her training, she joined the faculty at UAMS.
In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Slotcavage also serves as the Associate Director of the Surgery Clerkship, where she enjoys helping to educate and mentor the next generation of Arkansan physicians.

My schedule office visits are usually over six months at which point the scheduling doesn't have information on me and it's a very difficult situation trying to get the next appointment done every time Also I'm not able to speak with the doctor nurses or doctors scheduling issues who ever I talk with to make the appointment they have to email someone else and if I miss the call it starts all over again not happy about that at all!!

Yes, Mrs. Rachel Slotcavage was a very great surgeon. I will miss her since she's going to be leaving. I hate to see her going. Hope you get a good one like she is when you get one to come back in to take her place.

I really like Dr. Slotcavage. I think she really listens to the patient, takes time with them, and talks with them, explaining things. I'm just sorry she's leaving Arkansas.

I truly appreciate the kindness and sincere concern and the time taken to explain what to expect. Dr Slotcavage is the best. My fear of oncology surgery had my anxiety off the chart and her explanation of what she anticipate will happen during my surgery. Thank you

Dr. Slotcavage is an excellent provider. However, the wait time, every time that I have gone, the wait time is very long. That's the only problem.
