Mary James, O.D., graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She has completed an internship at The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry and an externship at Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
She has been extensively involved in medical outreach as a volunteer with local community organizations providing eye care assistance for those in need and other organizations providing aid in Central America.

They let me know that it was my decision whether or not to be dilated. I ended up agreeing after the nurse explained to me and gave me reassurance that with my dark eyes the effects are not as strenuous. I returned to work like normal and had no issues.
