Dr. Lauren M. Story-Hefta is an assistant professor in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery at UAMS. Dr. Story-Hefta is an Arkansas native growing up in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She joined the Department of Surgery after completing her medical degree and vascular surgery residency training at UAMS. Dr. Story-Hefta treats multiple vascular conditions including, peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, venous disease and hemodialysis access to name a few.

Dr. Lauren M. Story-Hefta is an Arkansas native who received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. She then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she received her Doctor of Medicine and completed her vascular surgery residency. Dr. Story-Hefta is an assistant professor of vascular and endovascular surgery at UAMS. She is board-certified by the Arkansas State Medical Board and is a member of the American Medical Women’s Association and Society for Vascular Surgery.

I don't believe we even spoke to the actual surgeon. I'm not sure if it was a resident or somebody else in the practice, but we were speaking to the person who did the surgery and the person we spoke with, was not very familiar with my dad's situation and didn't seem interested in hearing about new problems that were vascular related. So, we were kind of disappointed with the experience and typically have a better experience when Dr. Story is the actual person we're talking to.
