Dr. Arnaoutakis' Academic Background
Academic Biography
Dr. Konstantinos Arnaoutakis is a hematologist and oncologist at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he is a professor of medicine and fellowship program director in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Patras Medical School in Greece and completed his residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical College–Albany Medical Center Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Tufts University’s St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, where he also served as chief fellow.
Board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology, Arnaoutakis is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
In addition to his clinical and research work, he has served as faculty for the Harvard Macy Institute and as a facilitator with the Academy of Communication in Healthcare, focusing on improving communication in health care. He is also a graduate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Education Scholars Program. His primary interests are lung cancer and medical education.
Arnaoutakis is dedicated to advancing clinical care, education and research in cancer care.
