About Dr. Wolter
Clinical Biography
Dr. Keith Wolter is a plastic surgeon specializing in breast reconstruction; reconstructive surgery after tumor removal or trauma; melanoma and other skin cancer removal and reconstruction; and basic surgery. He also serves as an assistant professor in the UAMS College of Medicine’s Department of Surgery.
He previously served as a visiting instructor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah Health System/Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he also completed a fellowship in breast and microsurgical reconstruction.
He received his medical degree and Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and served his residency there in the Integrated Training Program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
His research interests include molecular biology of skin and skin cancer; cell death regulation, specifically apoptosis and autophagy; genetic manipulation via gene transfection and RNA silencing; and in vivo models of tumor production and treatment.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Plastic Surgery Research Council.

Physician scheduled my appointment after Family medicine physician discussed my case with Dr. Wolter. One of the few clinics that gave me contact information for the nurse, PA and physician, and also told me number to call if I had to reschedule or cancel my follow up appointment. Very organized and efficient clinic, and had good discussion with physician and PA.

I also saw Dr. Wolter's intern before speaking to Dr. Wolter. The intern gave me a couple of incorrect statements that I learned were incorrect when Dr. Wolter came in and gave me his info. As far as I know Dr. Wolter never knew his intern was giving the incorrect information, & I didn't say anything. I'm hoping the intern learned from just being there when Dr. Wolter said the correct thing in front of him & me.
