Clinical Biography
Dr. Julie M. Riley is a fellowship-trained endourologist who is becoming a national thought leader in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. Her expertise and experience have already enabled UAMS Health to offer the latest minimally invasive techniques and technology to patients with even the most complex stones. Endourology is a subspecialty of urology in which minimally invasive techniques are used to inspect the urinary tract and perform surgery.

Complex kidney stone disease; surgical and medical management of nephrolithiasis; renal and ureteral reconstruction; benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH); renal cancer; and renal obstruction

Academic Biography
Dr. Julie M. Riley is an associate professor and the residency program director in the UAMS Department of Urology.
She came to UAMS from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where she was an associate professor, director of endourology and stone disease, and UNM lead renal transplant listing surgeon. She also served as chair of the Surgical Services Oversight Committee and as executive surgeon of surgical services.

I called the nurse and left a message on Tuesday, today is Saturday and I did not hear back from the nurse. Dr. Riley ordered a CT and told me to message her in my chart and she would call me with results and plan to treat. I messaged her on Thursday and Friday as well as called the clinic on Friday and no one called. I feel the visit was useless and what was the purpose of urine screen and CT if no one was going to follow up with treatment recommendations. I have no confidence in this office.

Instead of standing in an open doorway at the end of a hallway leading away from the waiting room, it would be nice if the nurse calling a patient back would actually walk down the short hallway into the waiting room to call the patient's name. It was hard to hear the invisible nurse and I think it's basically rude. I've been involved in patient care for over 40 years, and I think this can be handled better. Otherwise, the urologic care was outstanding

After my visit a day later Dr called me on land line I missed call so call her back and I haven't heard anything. Ive asked front desk to please use my cell number [PHONE] not my land line [PHONE] still they call land land

I felt very comfortable being there at the clinic. It was an embarrassing situation as far as I was concerned, but everyone put me at ease. The doctor listened to me and prescribed the best course for me after we had discussed it. And this past week has been lovely. The medication has been working and I am so pleased.
