About Dr. Howard
Clinical Biography
Dr. Jamie Howard is an Associate Professor in the UAMS Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Howard received her Medical Degree from UAMS in 1979. She went on to complete her residency in the UAMS Department of Family and Community Medicine in 1982 and served as a Fellow in Family Medicine from 1982-1983. During her residency, Dr. Howard served as Chief Resident. She has been board certified in Family Medicine since 1979. She is the Medical Director to the Student and Employee Health; Preventive, Occupational and Environmental Medicine; and Student Health Clinic.

Yes, Dr. Howard is a wonderful, skilled, smart, patient, understanding doctor. I would refer her to anyone, family, friends, or anyone I didn't even know that needed a PCP. She's very knowledgeable. She knows every patient inside and out. That's what makes her the best. She just needs a bigger office.

The nurse kept sticking me with the needle trying to take my blood instead of doing in ultrasound to find my vain. I had to make another appointment for blood work after 6 time getting prick "stabbed " ?Now I'm bruised all over.

I came in with a shoulder injury and the doctor didn't even have an X-ray did . I still don't know what my injury is . Very dissatisfied!!!!!

The staff at the clinic went out of their way to be kind and supportive. Dr Howard has been my PCP for more than 18 years now. I trust her completely with my health care needs. She listens, is empathic and knowledgeable. If she doesn't know an answer she will get the information from someone who does. I absolutely trust Dr Howard with my life, health and well-being. The UAMS Family Clinic is a 10 out of 10.
