About Dr. Paydak
Clinical Biography
Hakan Paydak, M.D., is professor of medicine and director of cardiac electrophysiology program and laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, and trained in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and University of Chicago Hospital in Illinois.
Prior to joining UAMS faculty in 2009, Dr. Paydak was on staff at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Paydak is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a member of Cardiac Electrophysiology Society, American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine.

My dad waited almost 3 hours to see the cardiologist for 5 minutes. He made accusations, did not listen with concern, told me to shut up when trying to explain to him my dad's health concerns. Then he kept apologizing for not being knowledgeable and recommended we see his buddy in cardiology who knows more than him. The visit was a waste of our time.
