Clinical Biography
Dr. Geeta Sakariya comes to UAMS from Fargo, N.D. She is a graduate of Government Medical College in Surat, Gujarat, India. She received her Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from California State University in Long Beach, Calif. From here, she moved to Bismarck, N.D., to complete her Family Medicine Residency. Her most recent employment is as a family medicine physician at the Morehead Clinic in Minnesota.Ā She is now practicing in the Family Medical Clinic at UAMS.

The provider was very friendly and efficient. My only complaint was that I came in for a sick visit and not to be shamed or reprimanded for not getting my 6month Pap smear follow-up visit. I also do not appreciate adding that to my AVS when that is not why I made the visit and the provider is not my primary care physician either. I also had to send a message to the provider to send in the antihistamine she had said she would prescribe. I live 20-30 minutes away and I use the UAMS pharmacy. I felt horrible and was not going to wait around forever for a prescription the provider had to be reminded about calling in.

I really wanted to know why I have been swelling on occasions and more help with losing weight and the doctor acted like it wasn't important.

Dr. Sakarya is an exceptional doctor. She listens understands is interested and engaged in you as a patient. Her sense of humor and bedside manner make visits pleasant. She and her staff seem dedicated to finding solutions and suggestions tailored to my particular needs. She's the best doctor I've ever had. I hope she is given the support and praise she deserves by your administration. We need more like doctors like her!

Dr.Sakariya is one of the best PCP's I have ever had as my doctor! Professional and Knowledgeable as well, treats you with respect and kindness! Hard to find those qualities in some doctors.But very much needed...

UAMS initially prepared me for what I was told would be a simple procedure to remove a cyst from my neck, even instructing me to arrange a driver since I would be sedated from the incision. However, when the time came, the doctor was unwilling to perform the surgery. This has now turned into four months of back-and-forth with UAMS, resulting in a complete waste of time, effort, and unnecessary stress.
