About Dr. Montgomery
Clinical Biography
Corey Montgomery, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in malignant and benign tumors of the bone and soft-tissues in both adults and children. Dr. Montgomery is the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologist in the state of Arkansas and sees patients in the UAMS Health Orthopaedic Oncology Clinic and at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Academic Biography
Dr. Montgomery earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completed his five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then completed his fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Montgomery is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAMS and serves as the residency program director, where he oversees the education and training of the departmentās 25 orthopaedic surgery residents. He has received numerous accolades for his medical student and resident teaching at UAMS, including several red sash awards from the UAMS College of Medicine. He was also the 2022 recipient of the R. Dale Blasier, M.D., Residency Education Award in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Montgomery is active within the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the Southern Orthopaedic Association and the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society. He also served as the principal investigator on several research projects resulting in peer-reviewed research publications.

Yes, Dr. Montgomery was very great. My doctor in [CITY], I refer to him, too, because he's the best in Arkansas. And I'm counseling twice from the University of Arkansas and[CITY] , and he did excellent work. He's known me. He was an outstanding doctor. And I've seen Dr. Montgomery, too. And thank him and God bless him. He was outstanding.

Dr. Corey was very thorough and he was explained everything to me where I understood it very well and if I didn't need to go there, I wouldn't but I'd hang out there anytime. They are not all nice people. Thank you.

This was our initial visit, and there is so much that we don't know about my husband's condition, but we anticipate having some questions answered after Tuesday's appointment. My husband has some dementia, and I appreciate the courtesy with which we were both treated.
