Carly D. Eastin, M.D. Emergency Medicine Physician

Clinical Biography

Carly was raised in Flora, Indiana, a small town in northern Indiana.  She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and biochemistry from DePauw University, after which she attended medical school at Indiana University.

While in college and medical school, she worked part-time as an EMT for a small county ambulance service where she found her love for emergency medicine.  After medical school, she stayed at Indiana for her EM residency and was a chief resident, graduating in 2012.

Before coming to UAMS she spent a year as an assistant professor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  While there, her residency activities included being faculty leader of their monthly journal club session and also a small group leader.

Carly’s interests include clinical research, evidence-based medicine (EBM) and incorporating EBM into clinical practice, pediatrics, and simulation. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, sewing, and trying out new restaurants.
