About Blakely M. Edmund
Clinical Biography
Blakely M. Edmund, MNSc, APRN, FNP-C, CLT, is a Nurse Practitioner who works at the UAMS Cancer Institute with Breast Cancer Surgeons, Dr. Ronda Henry-Tillman and Dr. Daniela Ochoa. She currently sees patients in the Breast Cancer Survivorship Clinic, High Risk Clinic, and Lymphedema Clinic.
Blakely grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and after watching the positive impact her mother made on patients’ lives while working as a nurse, she too decided to pursue a nursing career.
Blakely obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2011 and started her career working as an inpatient RN at UAMS Hopsital on a Medical-Surgical specialty unit.
She then completed her Masters of Nursing Science (MNSc) degree in 2016 and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
In 2017 she transitioned from working as an inpatient RN to an APRN in the Breast Cancer Clinic at the UAMS Cancer Institute.
