Clinical Biography
Anand N. Venkata, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).Ā He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.Ā After obtaining his medical degree at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Venkata completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut (New Britain), Farmington, Connecticut.Ā He then completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital, Mt. Sinai Health System in New York, New York.Ā Ā After working as a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, he joined UAMS in February 2019.
Dr. Venkata is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Medical Society, American College of Physicians, Medical Council of India, and the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.

Well I only see the doctor once a year he's concentrating on the weight and not that I don't know my weight is a problem but my breathing is pretty bad at times I just want to feel better

I love coming to the clinic and they are very concerned and they ask you questions to make sure that you understand what's going on. And they change my medicine at the time it was needed. If it's not needed, they will tell you so. And I love going to the clinic because they are nice and respectful people.

The staff at the Pulmonology Clinic are fantastic including the receptionist that does check ins. Shegoes above and beyond to help patients also. Give them all a huge raise!!!

The visit with the doctor was great. I do have a problem with follow up communications with the patient. I was told I would be called on Monday April 15 after he had read the CTs. I have yet to be contacted. Email through portal has been sent but no reply yet
