Dr. A. Murat Aydin’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical and multidisciplinary management of urologic cancers, including prostate, bladder, kidney, testis and penile cancers.

Academic Biography
Dr. A. Murat Aydin is a urologic oncologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at the UAMS College of Medicine.
Dr. Aydin, a native of Turkey, received outstanding success scholarship after high school for being ranked among the nationās top 100 students, and earned his medical degree with an honors distinction at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his urology residency at the same university, and became a fellow of European Board of Urology (FEBU). He went on to complete a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO)-accredited fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa, Florida, where he specialized in the management of urologic malignancies using both complex as well as minimally-invasive surgery.

Dr. Aydin's Research
Dr. A. Murat Aydin’s main research interests are cancer biomarkers and immunotherapy with a focus on adoptive cell immunotherapy strategies. He is the principal author or co-author in many prestigious peer-reviewed publications such as Nature Reviews Urology, Journal of Urology, and Urologic Oncology: Seminars and Original Investigations. He is a member of Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO), American Urological Association (AUA), and European Association of Urology (EAU).

Prior quarterly cystoscopy, we were told plan was to go to 6 months after this visit. But although bladder looked good and better than it has in 2 years, we were told to come back in 3 months. When asked why, the Resident, not our Dr, said it was "because my cancer is aggressive kind". Since we and care team have known this all along, we did not feel that answer adequately answered the question.

I arrived before my appt. but the reception person for the urology clinic could not register me in. It was not her fault as apparently the actual trained person was missing. I only got access to the clinic some 15-20 minutes late by knocking on the door as a nurse passed inside. Very unfortunate and quite inexcusable.

I hand delivered disks of my MRI and CT to a front desk clerk 2 weeks before the appointment. I called twice to confirm that they were given to the doctor with no confirmation received. I show up at the appointment to find out that the doctor had mot received them. They were lost. I received a robocall saying the appointment was at the clinic on Rodney Parham. I called to confirm twice. When I show up at the clinic I was told to go to the UAMS address. 3 times I was given the wrong address and each time I said, "that doesn't make sense, are you sure?" Your clerical staff is awarded zero (0) for satisfaction.

I was called in 2 minutes before my appointment was DUE. very professional ---- I was out and done in abut 30 minutes. only the Cleveland Clinic done this

This was a video visit and Dr. Aydin knew all the details of my condition, explained all my options for treatment and answered all my questions in terms I could understand
