They direct families to helpful resources and services for their child and provide regular follow-up support to families every step of the way. If there’s a question our Family Navigator can’t immediately answer, they will find an answer or solution and let you know.
Count on our Family Navigators to:
- Help find services (educational, therapy, and early interventions)
- Provide resources (financial, advocacy, legal)
- Assist family with enrollment in MyChart and field related questions
- Explain what to expect at the appointment
- Offer follow-up support after the appointment
Reach any of our Family Navigators at DDCFamilyNavigator@uams.edu or call 501-364-1830 and ask for the Family Navigator.
Bringing Care to Arkansas Communities
Our medical outreach clinics, offered in collaboration with community partners and state agencies, provide additional access to developmental and autism screenings for families outside of central Arkansas. These clinics offer diagnostic and follow-up care for developmental, learning, and behavioral programs and early identification of developmental disabilities in preschool children. Innovative training programs guide physicians how to recognize and screen children for developmental concerns and autism, reducing the wait time for developmental care appointments.
Working together – with families, physicians, state agencies and community partners – our combined efforts form a powerful circle of care for all children in Arkansas.
