To have a face-to-face visit at a UAMS Health location, you must be free of COVID-19 symptoms. Do not come to your appointment if you have symptoms or think you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been tested but do not know your test results, call your clinic to see if you should have a phone or video visit or reschedule your appointment.

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms or a combination of symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

Children have similar symptoms to adults and generally have mild illness. If you have these symptoms or have been around someone who has COVID-19, get tested for COVID-19 and stay away from others until you know the test results.
